A man with vision and faith, John Higgins.
There is an expression which most of us have heard: "Bloom where you are planted"! In Rutherford County this saying is especially applicable for a man named John Harlen Higgins. A bible quote which embraces this saying is from John 10:10: "I come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."

The weather is rather tricky cold and warm, but this time of year just begs for some good main courses. So I’m going to the kitchen and getting ready to show my family and friends the love! I’ll use a great cookbook from Big Springs Baptist Church entitled “Pleasures from the Earth”!

How’s your office?
Recently I was straightening up my office. You know how it is, your things get moved around as you work so you put them back where you can find them.
Well, I noticed that there were some things that I really like that I had put up on top of a bookshelf. A wood carving from China a friend brought me. A piece of beautiful pottery. They were up high where I don’t look that often. So I moved them down on one of my desks to see them more often.

It is amazing how many new products come on the market year after year. And when you narrow that new product list down to hunting or fishing supplies, it is even more amazing. It seems to me like there would have to be one year where everybody just ran out of ideas for a new gizmo or gadget and where “new and improved” would just be the same as last year.
