This Weeks Recipes Submitted By Martha Hamrick • Beatrice McFarland
It seems appropriate that I begin the new year with recipes from Beth Baptist Church in Ellenboro. The name of their cookbook is “Forward By Faith”. Let’s definitely go forward by faith the year 2011! I’m headed to the kitchen and because I’ve been asked many times I’ll start of the New Year by sharing a recipe for SOURDOUGH BREAD STARTER. It’s compliments of MARTHA HAMRICK. In addition I’ll give you MARTHA’S recipe for SOURDOUGH BREAD.
I saw an interview with golfing legend Jack Nicklaus. He was discussing his pre-shot routine. He said that before he hit the ball or even took a practice swing, in his mind’s eye he saw the ball landing exactly where he wanted it to go. He imagined the ball’s path to the cup or the landing spot in the fairway. Then he took his practice swing, again seeing the ball go where he wanted it. Only then did he actually hit the ball.
