Throughout the United States, and even the world, there are not too many areas or counties that make the claim which is a bragging right exclusive to Rutherford County. Specifically, that Rutherford County is home to not one, but three world championships, all held by one man. His name is Ray Rice!

I have always thought that unique offerings during the holidays starts family traditions. With this in mind I’m going to the kitchen to make three unique recipes, which I want to share with you for the holidays. Let’s get started with HELEN SILVER’S BROCCOLI BREAD. I’m using recipes from Big Springs Baptist Church’s “PLEASURES FROM THE GOOD EARTH” cookbook.

Do you anticipate?
My family and I went to a theme park. They had changed the rides since I’d been last so it was pretty cool riding them for the first time.
One of my “first-time” rides was one where they strap you in with this over-the-shoulder harness, take you straight up about 160 feet, then drop you so that you’re going about 58 mph, then stop you just before you hit the ground. You’ve probably had a nightmare similar to this ride, the one where you wake up just before you die, hitting the ground.
